Overview:
At MECU, we’re looking for a Marketing fanatic to be involved with planning, executing, and measuring the performance of marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will work on multiple marketing and business development projects in the Marketing Department and plan and organize various special events. You will play an integral role in building and engaging our member base via demand and lead generation campaigns and creating effective strategies to promote the CU’s long-term growth. You will develop and drive marketing content onto the web or through print and alternative media to reach our target audience to drive product demand via multiple channels, including social and email. The ideal candidate will be innovative, team-oriented, an effective communicator, desire to participate in change, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. An understanding and passion for bettering the financial futures of others is highly desired.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop content creation for digital channels and printed materials such as newsletters, brochures, emails, CU website, social media channels, and more.
- Marketing credit union products, services, and promotions.
- Manages digital platforms such as the CU website, social media accounts, lobby TVs, and other platforms as needed.
- Represents Members Exchange in a positive image while promoting the credit union internally and externally, maintaining a positive relationship with partners and vendors.
- Researches community involvement projects and creates a list of projects to participate in per quarter.
- Responsible for organizing community involvement events and projects, including booth displays, giveaways, presentations, and fundraising events.
- Responsible for event planning for members and staff. Events include, but are not limited to: Annual Meeting Day, Youth Savings Month, Member Appreciation Day, and Employee Appreciation.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to execute successful marketing promotions and programs.
- Review analytical reports and present an update to management on a requested basis.
- Create presentation packets for new business opportunities.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with new and current business partners.
- Assist Branch Managers and Business Development with new business opportunities and company sign-ups as needed.
- Assist Branch Managers in keeping branches uniform in appearance during the holidays.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum six months of similar or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Social Media experience.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to standard courtesy and tact as work involves others’ personal information. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become necessary, fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
