Shared Branch Network
Members Exchange Federal Credit Union participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch Network. This means that our members can complete a range of transactions at another credit union. As a result, our members are able to complete in-person transactions after a move or while traveling.

ID Verification for Shared Branching Transactions
Effective May 1, if you use shared branching to make withdrawals (cash or check) and have an out-of-state driver’s license, the ID must be verified through ID Check. Simply scan the QR code, which generates a one-time passcode.
Here is how ID Check works:
- Scan the QR code or visit IDCheck by COOP
- Select your credit union’s name from a drop-down list.
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Upload a photo of your government-issued ID and take a selfie (it can be stored securely for future use).
- Show your one-time passcode to the teller (The passcode is valid for 20 minutes)
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of IDs can I use?
You can use any non-expired, government-issued photo ID, such as:
- State-issued driver’s license
- State ID card
- U.S. passport
Please note: Military IDs are excluded from the ID verification process for out-of-state Shared Branching transactions. Military IDs will not be considered out-of-state IDs for this purpose.
What if I’m unable to get the verification code?
Your transaction can still be processed, but we will use alternative verification methods to complete the transaction. However, the withdrawal will be limited to $200.00, which is non-negotiable and protects the credit union and its members from potential fraud.
Will I have to do this every time I make a shared branching withdrawal?
Not necessarily. You can save your information, and on your next visit (with the same device and valid ID), scan the QR code to begin the return visit validation.
How is my data stored?
ID Check is powered by Socure, a leading ID verification provider. Your data is encrypted and used only for verification purposes. For more information, please refer to Socure’s privacy policy: Global Privacy Statement | Socure
