Harrison Grimes Receives MECU Star Student Award

Harrison Grimes is the winner of MECU's Star Student Award.

Congratulations, Harrison Grimes, from Germantown High School for being selected as the Star Student of the Month. This award is voted on by the faculty and staff of GHS, and is based on outstanding academic achievement and strong commitment to community involvement.

Harrison Grimes is described by GHS Staff as “a bright, vivacious whirlwind of energy!” Harrison is a conscientious student with a strong work ethic who excels at all that he undertakes. He currently has the highest ACT score for his senior class, was recently named a National Merit Semifinalist, and has also accumulated a number of academic awards while in high school. He is heavily involved in several school organizations, such as GHS Student Solvers, Beta Club, Spanish Club, Government Club, and Economics Club. He is also involved in heaps of community service activities. He has been a MS Sports Hall of Fame volunteer, Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine volunteer, Mississippi Children’s Home volunteer, along with numerous events at Grace Crossing Baptist Church.

Members Exchange is proud to recognize Harrison’s accomplishments and reward him with October’s Star Student Award. The MECU Star Student Award honors students who exemplify strong community engagement and service into their daily lives. We award 4 students at GHS during the Fall semester with this award, and they receive a certificate, $100 check payable to the student, and a MECU swag bag.
